Vespa speedometer restore

The old speedometer needs affection and an update. It will be restored and further used. Since I continue to use the PX old handlebar cover and this, however, on the new black Lusso handlebar base insert, (because of the reception for the new hydraulic brake), everything is removed anyway. Therefore, in this action also comes out the same speedometer and comes as a “Sideproject” with home.

New part above just bad
Exchange is out of the question
Burrs and air pockets all over the ring. Shame on you!
How short-sighted and sloppy can you be?
You can throw the seal directly into the bucket
Probably cut out with a cutter or scissors by hand.

I gave myself enough time. Except for the ring I had to exchange, the new spare parts were not usable. A bad sign of the times, when the new goods are just junk and no one seems to care. The new ring I have on suspicion then at the back as a collar umgebörtelt so that it sits tightly on the housing. All in all, I’m still happy with the result and I’m looking forward to install the new speedometer and look at it in the future. But see for yourself:

Will certainly look good in the new black cockpit. That will soon come next here as a post. PX old cover -without keyhole. Then “UV resin filler” and the first part is painted.
