It’s time to push the remains of my old Vespa PX 80 into the workshop to breathe new life into her. Actually, everything is really removed because the frame has a crack. So frame replacement and virtually a new engine. The 80 cc displacement had not been enough for me already at the age of 16. The goal this time is 200+ cc and at least 20 hp. A tight chassis and a motorcycle suitable for everyday use without defects. Everything is registered and approved by the TÜV, which does not make the story easier.
It will be exciting.

Frame breakage?!
The main problem. The frame cracked during a jump over a campfire. The crack was originally an half inch long and had continued to develop during the rides after.
That’s why I shut you down over 10 years ago at the time.
Yes – something like that can be welded. But is too tricky for me with a “self-supporting sheet metal frame construction” and significantly more power.
The solution comes from India...
A new frame from India should remedy this. The PX Lusso is produced in India and was in stock at the dealer in Germany and was available as a Christmas offer for about 750 euros. The Inverstition saves me at the point the questionable welding, paint stripping and saves me hopefully for many years from further surprises.

Restoration, refurbish, new parts and technology ...
I want to breathe life back into my “old lady” and assemble a reliable touring moped.
Looking at the old parts, past stories are awakened. As well as things I have done to her visually and otherwise, which I would tackle quite differently today. And that’s exactly what I’m doing now. If already the Skellet is exchanged, as much as possible is to remain and be prepared. In contrast to the past, the technology and safety will be brought to a new level and is the first priority. Likewise, it should again bear my own handwriting and be something special.
